Artist of the Week: Demi Lovato

Over the past few years, Demi Lovato has transformed from being the lovable Sonny Monroe on Disney Channel to being one of the industry's top mega-stars. Here's how she got there:

Demi began her acting career at age seven, when she appeared on an episode of Barney and Friends. Soon after, Demi became a Disney Star, starring in hits such as As The Bell Rings, Camp Rock (with the Jonas Brothers), and Sonny With a Chance.

However, aside from being a talented actress, Demi Lovato also has an fantastic voice.

Her debut album Don't Forget was released in 2008, and after co-starring in Princess Protection Program with her bestie Selena Gomez, she released her second studio album Here We Go Again just the next year.

However, in 2011, Demi took a break from acting and singing to work out a few problems in her life. Later that year, Demi released her third studio album Unbroken. Here are some of our favorite songs from the album, "Give Your Heart a Break" and the emotional ballad "Skyscraper."

In 2012, Demi returned to the television when she was hired to be a judge on the X-Factor, and recently, her new album, DEMI, came out, featuring her new hit single, Heart Attack. You should definitely check them both out!

Demi's come a long way since her days of Barney and Camp Rock, but we know she still has a long and successful career in front of her! We can't wait to see what else she has in store!
